List of goods banned from import

(Promulgated together with the Government’s Decree No. 12/2006 / ND-CP of January 23, 2006)

Goods on this list apply to activities of importing non-commercial, non-commercial goods or import goods at border areas with neighboring countries; Government aid, non-government aid.

GOODS BANNED FROM IMPORT:

DESCRIPTION OF GOODS

1. Weapons; ammunition; Explosive materials, except industrial explosives; Military technical equipment. (The Ministry of Defense publishes the list and inscribes the HS code correctly in the Import and Export Tariff).
2. Fireworks of all kinds (except fires for maritime safety under the guidance of the Ministry of Communications and Transport); Traffic jam measure devices. (Ministry of Public Security instructs to implement, publish list and write HS code correctly in import and export tariff).
3. Used consumer goods, including commodity groups:
– Textiles, footwear, clothing
– Electronics
– Refrigeration
– Eletric Things
– Medical equipment
– Furniture
– Household goods made of ceramic, porcelain, glass, metal, plastic, rubber, plastics and other materials. (The Ministry of Trade shall concretize the above items and write the HS code correctly in the Import and Export Tariff).
– Goods are used information technology products. (The Ministry of Post and Telematics shall concretize the goods items and inscribe the HS codes correctly in the Import and Export Tariff).
4. Types of cultural products banned from circulation and circulated in Vietnam. (The Ministry of Culture and Information guides the implementation, publishes the list and inscribes the HS code correctly in the Import and Export Tariff).
5.
